Bellhaven Copper & Gold & Empire Minerals Begin Drill Program at the Cerro Chorcha Copper Property in Panama

Panama City, Panamá - June 11, 2007. Bellhaven Copper & Gold, Inc. (TSX-Venture: BHV) ("Bellhaven" or the "Company") in conjunction with its joint venture partner Empire Minerals Corp. (OTC: EMPL) is pleased to announce that it has begun drilling at the Cerro Chorcha Copper Property in Panama. This 3,300 meter phase one drill program will test high-grade copper-gold-silver mineralization associated with the structurally-controlled quartz-magnetite stock-work within and to the west of the main porphyry copper deposit. Additionally, the drill program will test for extensions of the existing deposit.

Julio Benedetti, Bellhaven's President and CEO had this to say:

"In light of the field work which has been carried out on the property over the course of the last several months, and the historic drill results, we are highly enthusiastic about the prospects at Cerro Chorcha. This phase one drill program will greatly increase our understanding of this highly prospective resource and bring us one step closer to uncovering the potential of the property."

The phase one drill program at Cerro Chorcha will be carried out by Cabo Drilling Corp. and is designed to provide infilling and expansion of the previous 35 diamond drill holes drilled in the 1990's that totalled 7,036m and defined excellent copper mineralization which remains open to the North and Southwest. The majority of these drill holes terminated in copper mineralization.

Additionally, several of the previous drill holes intersected significant high-grade sections which may be related to quartz-magnetite stock-work zones observed and sampled at surface.

Significant drill results from the previous drilling include:
